A South Guildford verge transformed through preparation and new turf.
The work
This tired South Guildford verge needed more than a quick surface tidy. The work involved moving and protecting existing plants, removing and preparing soil, shaping the area and installing approximately 26 square metres of Sir Walter Buffalo turf.
The sequence shows the verge moving from its original condition through soil movement, preparation and installation to a clean, established-looking finish. Relocating plants helped preserve what could be kept while making room for a more coherent lawn and verge layout.
The result is a greener, more usable frontage with a stronger first impression and a practical foundation for ongoing maintenance. The story is preparation first, then turf — the finished lawn is the outcome of the groundwork underneath it.
