Como — Productive garden redesign

A neglected edible garden reshaped into a more productive, workable space.

The Como project involved several productive garden beds that had become overgrown and difficult to work with. The job was to uncover what was already there, clear the competing growth and create room for healthier planting and future edible production.

The work moved across the property rather than following one single bed from start to finish. Beds were weeded, prepared and renewed, with existing plants and useful features retained where they could contribute to the result. The photographs also capture the reality of hands-on garden work: one of the beds was worked through heavy rain, and a few unexpected objects were found hidden beneath the weeds.

The finished garden has more definition, more usable growing space and a stronger sense of care. It is a productive redesign built around gradual improvement rather than replacing everything at once.
